A quiz re-do and a glamping takeover
We had some technical issues with Friday's quiz so that one of the questions was repeated and several answers weren't matched with the right questions. All that, as well as some PG-13 news content, made part of the quiz look like Mad Libs of the Weird.
My apologies for the glitches. The best I can do is to offer a fixed version of the quiz right here for anyone who didn't take it previously or who took it and came away shaking your head.
Answers and results will be in Tuesday's edition of this newsletter.
Thanks for reading,
Ike Morgan

The executive director of the Alabama Ethics Commission has resigned from the board of a scholarship fund as lawsuits have levied accusations of self-dealing and more, reports AL.com's Mike Cason.
Tom Albritton has denied allegations made by the lawsuits and said he hopes his resignation will close the door on the issues. The legal action has been taking place for several years.
The Mabel Amos Memorial Fund, named after the Alabama secretary of state from 1967-75, boomed in value when oil was struck on Amos-estate property.
Lawsuits were filed, with some Amos family members as plaintiffs, claiming that Regions Financial Corp. began charging the fund excessive fees. Also disputed was where the scholarship money was going. Notably, to the Auburn University Foundation and the Crimson Tide Foundation instead of directly to students.
And $135,000 in scholarships from the fund to Albritton's children.
Albritton said Regions and its accounting firm gave written opinions that family members of a trustee could apply for the scholarships and that he didn't participate in awarding scholarships to his children.
Montgomery County Circuit Judge Greg Griffin issued an order last week that the court had accepted Albritton's resignation and appointing new members to the three-person board after two resignations and a death have left it empty.
One of the new board members is a relative of Mabel Amos.

Florence native Stewart Cink is crushing it on the senior tour.
Going into this past weekend, Cink had played in four PGA Tour Champions events this year. In those four tournaments he had two victories, a runner-up and a sixth-place finish.
Then this past weekend, reports AL.com's Mark Inabinett, Cink came within a stroke of Sam Snead's 1973 record for overall relation-to-par scoring in the Senior PGA Championship.
Cink fired a 9-under-par 63 during Sunday's final round to win by six strokes.
And considering that just last year he won the Jack Nicklaus Award as the PGA Tour Champions Player of the Year, it's not shocking to hear Cink say he feels like he's more in control of his game now than he was when he was winning the British Open back in 2009.

Taking the 'rough' out of 'roughing it' |
Oak Mountain State Park is now open for "glamping," reports AL.com's Joseph D. Bryant.
Everyone knows what "glamping" is by now, right? If you don't, the word "glamping" is one of those awful trendy mashup words that aren't really words. This one is a combination of "glamor" and "camping."
So if you want to get out into the outdoors but don't really want to be, you know, outdoors, rent you a glamping tent. The tent have thinner walls than most cabins, so you technically are closer to dirt than someone who's fully indoors.
Yet you still might get to enjoy air conditioning, electricity, a deck and decorative pillows.
Timberline Glamping has partnered with Alabama State Parks since 2023, and it's brought now brought glamping to six state parks. The latest -- Oak Mountain -- is the state's largest.
